Commencement of Construction of F1 Race Track in Hanoi
Formula 1 Hanoi racetrack and functional areas are deployed on a total area of 88ha, including part of the campus of My Dinh Sports Complex and a part on public roads.
On the morning of March 20, the Hanoi People’s Committee in collaboration with the Vietnam Grand Prix Company (Vingroup) held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Hanoi Formula 1 Racetrack in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi.
The building has traditional Thang Long architecture combined with top-notch engineering, leading technology in the world. Formula 1 Hanoi racetrack (F1 Hanoi) and functional areas are deployed on a total area of 88ha, including part of the campus of My Dinh Sports Complex and a part on the current public transport road.

Mobile stands are calculated and designed to be arranged along the track, especially at the corners where there are dramatic chases, ensuring effective exploitation of the view so that spectators can fully enjoy the action on the track.
Event areas will be both the venue for a series of attractive side events for fans; and at the same time introduce cultural products and cuisine of Hanoi and Vietnam to the world.
This is a race track that is consulted and designed by Formula 1 Group and Tilke Company (Germany) and will ensure the strictest technical-safety criteria with high-class equipment and materials in the race. country and internationally in accordance with the standards of the World Federation of Sports Motor Vehicles (FIA).
In addition, the Hanoi Formula 1 track will be the only place that allows drivers to both show off their high speed on a long straight track like in a professional racetrack, and show their superior skills at the corners. characteristic of a street race, creating one of the most dramatic and challenging races in the world.
Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung emphasized that Hanoi fully believes that the world’s most prestigious race will be held according to the schedule set by the F1 Group and the World Motor Sports Federation. (FIA) has agreed, will ensure compliance with the direction of the central government, the Government and the Prime Minister.
In particular, the race will best meet the expectations of the people of the capital, the people of the country, and the fans of this sport around the world. Moreover, with the uniqueness and difference of My Dinh racetrack, it will be an attractive challenge for racers and racing teams around the world.

According to Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, this attraction is not only for the racers but also for all domestic and international tourists, contributing to the promotion of cultural and image images of the city. the country and people of Vietnam, to Hanoi capital, a city for peace to the world, thereby creating a premise for attracting investment, tourism, and transferring new technologies.
